Campground

Low-cost, freedom-style camping 

Overlooking Moulting Lagoon and on the doorstep of Freycinet National Park, our family-owned and
operated campground is the perfect base to unplug and explore the east coast of Tasmania.

Spend your days exploring and then come back, have a drink at the bar, enjoy the breathtaking sunsets and listen to the birds on the lagoon.
 

This is real, authentic, camping in our relaxed, welcoming and safe campground. Families, solo
travellers, couples, groups large and small are all welcome here. Pets and campfires are allowed with
free Wi-Fi and power points in the bar area.

  • Unpowered “freedom-style”, low-cost camping

  • Large, open grassy field with shaded areas beneath the wattles

  • No designated sites: camp where you like

  • Amazing views across Moulting Lagoon (Ramsar site)

  • Power points (24-hr access) at the bar and toilet area for charging phones and devices

  • Flushing toilet (large, clean, with disabled access – but note, there’s only one loo)

  • Hot shower (coin operated – but note, there’s only one shower cubicle)

  • Rubbish disposal

  • Bring your own water 

  • Free Wi-Fi at the bar area

  • BBQ facilities at the bar area

  • Gas cylinder swap (3.7 kg or 8.5 kg)

Cost

  • $20 per adult, per night

  • Kids stay free (16 years or younger)

  • Pets stay free

  • Showers: $2 per 2 minutes

  • Campfire pots: BYO or hire, $5 per night
