Paintball Frequently Asked Questions

These are our paintball FAQs. If you would like the NEW Gel Ball FAQ please visit here.

Why should I play with Freycinet Paintball and not your competitor?

Because we offer the most authentic and unique paintball field in Tasmania. Our fields are diverse, creative and forever changing

to keep you on your toes!

Is there an age limit?
Yes. You need to be at least 16-years-old to play paintball in Tasmania. A consent form must be filled out prior to secure a booking. For those under 16 why not check out our new Gel Ball?

Do I need to bring photo ID on the day?
Yes. Regardless of age, all competitors must present photo ID by law. Failure to do so may result in disappointment.

What do I wear?
You will be issued a full camouflage suit to wear over your clothing. We recommend wearing as little as possible (leave your undies on!)

as you may become quite hot, particularly in the warmer months. Sturdy, closed-toe footwear is recommended as you may be running

on uneven terrain at times.

Can I wear prescription glasses?
Yes, you can wear glasses under your protective eye mask. However, contact lenses are a great option for comfort.

Do you sell drinks and refreshments?
Yes, we have bottled water, soft drinks, beer, wine and cider, as well as National Pies, packaged chips and chocolates.

Does paintball hurt?
This is probably the most commonly asked question and the answer is yes it can! However, the adrenalin and excitement override

the sting, and the bruises will fade long before the memories!

Do you have EFTPOS facilities?
Yes we do.

How long does a session take?
Session times vary from 45mins - 2 hours depending on the package and group size. Within each session your group will play numerous game scenarios on a range of fields. Bookings available 7 days a week between 9am and 5pm. Same day bookings also considered. We also offer twilight sessions in the summer months (Dec, Jan, Feb).

What if I arrive late?
We strongly encourage you to arrive 30 minutes prior to play. During this time we will kit you up in the appropriate gear and provide

a safety briefing. We will try to be fair and flexible on the day as we want you to enjoy the experience. However, if time and situations

don’t allow then you may not be able to play, therefore forfeiting your deposit.

Can I get a refund if I need to cancel my booking?
Yes. You can get a full refund if you notify us at least 3 days prior to booking date. If you do not notify us within 3 days as stated,

you will forfeit your deposit.

Do you have exclusions?
We welcome all walks of life at Freycinet Paintball with the exception of those behaving aggressively, unsafely or disruptively.

Any person who appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be refused entry to the field and will forfeit their deposit.

How many players do we need to make a booking?
We welcome groups from 6-30 players. The more the merrier however, as it’s great to have lots of friends to set your sights on! Smaller groups of 8 people or less may need to join other groups if demand is high on the booking day/time.

How do I find you?

We are located at 961 Coles Bay Road, 1km south of the Friendly Beaches turn off. A map and contact details are here.
