GEL BALL

Whilst the adults have been having so much fun with our paintball, the young ones have missed out - well not any longer! New to Freycinet Paintball is GELBALL for those aged 7 years+. 

 

Gelballs are a soft “watered down” version of Paintballs that splatter on impact. Scroll down to read the FAQs.

The GELSTORM

  • Age requirement is a recommendation only.

  • Sessions are supervised by an adult staff member, who will conduct games & challenges to build resilience & develop strategy skills. *Please let us know if your child has a heightened sensitivity to pain or health conditions that may be affected by the activity.

  • We will do our very best to meet his/her needs with discretion & kindness to make sure their time with us is nothing short of unforgettably amazing!

What should I wear/bring?

  • Closed toe shoes, sturdy boots or sport shoes are recommended as you will be running on uneven bush surfaces.

  • We recommend Long sleeves & Pants to provide maximum skin protection.

  • We love Dress ups…. Costumes are always welcome!

 

 

Can I just turn up?

Yes, of course, we love spontaneity when it works!!

Bookings are preferable, however, to avoid disappointment.

 

Will I get hurt?

Gelballs are a soft “watered down” version of Paintballs! A direct shot to bare skin will sting & leave a small red mark, particularly at close range.

A 2 metre rule is in place for your protection!

Safety glasses are provided & must be worn at all times during play. Feel free to BYO approved protective eye wear

Watch your footing on the course! Take care when jumping into bunkers, to avoid injury.

 

Can I play in the rain??

Yes, rain, hail or shine (within reason!)

The only weather conditions that may force a cancellation or interrupt a session is if lightning is forecast or present during play or in the event of torrential rain!

 

What is the minimum age to participate??

There are no firearms restrictions in place regarding minimum age for use/participation of Gel Blasters/games, we welcome kids 7 years+

Our Blaster game is (Tas Firearms approved)

A more powerful impact, approximately half the speed of a paintball, 20 metre range firing at 160 FPS, recommended for 7 years+

 

What are Gelballs??

Gelballs are non-toxic, environmentally friendly 95% water & 5% Polymer. Tiny dry beads (pin head size) soaked in water for several hours, swell to 8mm jelly like balls & splatter on impact. Available in a range of colours & do not stain clothing.
